Monthly service fees for both residential and commercial entities are changing effective January 1, 2025.
Residential
- including Single Family Residences, Duplexes, Triplexes, Apartments, Mobile Homes and Churches: $50.00 per unit per month
Commerical
- all Businesses, Governmental Buildings, and Schools
- first 5000 gallons of water usage, based on the City of Cortez meter readings: $50.00 per unit per month
- additional water usage beyond 5000 gallons, based on the City of Cortez meter readings: $4.00 per each 1000 gallons
Industrial
- Negotiated according to the proposed flow use and wastewater effluent characteristics concentrations.
Additional Fees
- Non-Sufficient Funds: Maximum allowed by Colorado State Statute
- New Account Set-up Fee: $35.00
- Certified Letter Fee: Actual Cost
- Collection Fees: Maximum allowed by Colorado State Statute
- Repetitive Caller: $275.00 per hour
- Unauthorized Connection Fine: First Incident $500.00. Second Incident $1000.00. Each Subsequent Incident $5000.00.
- Violation of Rules and Regulations: $100.00 per violation (if not remedied within the time provided)
- Colorado Open Records Act Fee: Maximum allowed by Colorado State Statute
